CEDAR CREST COLLEGE
Career ready, on camera
Founded in 1867, Cedar Crest College is one of the nation's enduring women's colleges, a private liberal arts institution set on an 84-acre arboretum campus in Allentown, Pennsylvania. With small classes and a mission built around preparing women to lead, the college measures itself by what happens after graduation.
Ruckus Studios was engaged to give the college's career preparation a screen presence: a three-part video series turning the fundamentals of the job search into content every student can watch, on any device, at any hour. The engagement covered studio and video production, multicam edit and color, motion graphics, voiceover, and finishing.

A library, not a lecture
Career guidance is some of the most valuable content a college owns, and most of it never makes it past the handout. Interview coaching, dress guidance, and resource walkthroughs lived in one-on-one sessions and printed templates, reaching one student at a time, while the students who needed that guidance were already learning everything else on video, on their own schedule, in their own space. The brief: a set of films students could return to at every stage of the search, from first resume to final round interview.

Three films, one job search
Ruckus produced Interview Skills, Professional Dress Attire, and Online Resources, each film tackling one make-or-break moment in the search, so the career center's best advice is always one click away. Two-camera coverage on every interview kept the guidance moving and the delivery human, and a full color pass on every clip graded the series as a set, so three films cut from one production feel like one series.
The strongest source material was already on campus. The career center's own resume and cover letter templates became the raw ingredients of the graphics package, rebuilt as animated on-screen visuals alongside custom checklists, location pins, animated section title cards, and a send-a-letter animation sequence. The advice students heard was the advice they could see, the same documents the college hands them, brought to life frame by frame.
Shot, cut, and finished in one studio
The full pipeline ran inside the Ruckus studio, from shoot through finish. Cedar Crest greenlit the three-video career series in 2019, multicam footage was synced, cut, and shaped into three distinct films in early 2020, and professional voiceover and final polish carried the films across the line. On-demand career guidance arrived just as campus life moved online, exactly when students needed it.
A career center that never keeps office hours
Ruckus delivered all three films end to end, production, edit, voiceover, and finishing, with the college's own career templates and checklists rebuilt as the animated backbone of every episode. Built from Cedar Crest's real career center materials and shot on its own campus, the series speaks the way the college does, and it is on call whenever a student is.
