AKUMIN
Imaging without walls
Akumin is a national leader in outpatient radiology and oncology, delivering advanced diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy through a network of outpatient centers, a mobile imaging fleet, and Akumin AXIS relocatable clinics that bring MRI, PET, and CT capacity directly to health systems and the communities they serve, imaging without walls.
Ruckus is Akumin's partner for the industry's biggest stage: designing and producing the brand's booth experience at RSNA, the Radiological Society of North America's annual meeting in Chicago, handling trade show design and production, exhibit fabrication and graphics, on-site show coverage, and capturing the whole reveal on film for the brand.

Seeing is believing
RSNA fills Chicago's McCormick Place with the biggest names in medical imaging, and a services brand has seconds to earn attention against global equipment giants. Relocatable imaging is an operational pitch, capacity, logistics, uptime, and it needed drama, energy, and a human face to stop traffic on the show floor. Renderings on a screen would not convince health systems that a truck-delivered MRI is real. The proof had to be physically present, and unmissable.

A walk-through imaging experience
For RSNA 2025, Akumin brought new additions to its AXIS platform, a relocatable 1.5T MRI and a patent-pending Drop Trailer, and Ruckus turned the booth into an immersive, walk-through environment built around the actual equipment on the floor, not a rendering on a screen. Overhead-rigged 3D letters, LED walls, illuminated arches, and full-scale imaging environments let visitors step inside and see how to expand capacity without building new facilities.
Under the banner Drop It Like It's Hot, the AXIS launch was staged as a reveal: an arch-mounted curtain drop synced with projection onto the floor and booth LED screens, turning a product launch into the showfloor event of Akumin's RSNA. A multi-camera Ruckus crew covered launch morning end to end, from the curtain drop to docu-style interviews with executives and visitors.
A booth you walk through
Ruckus developed Akumin's first custom booth for RSNA 2024, then returned in 2025 to launch the AXIS platform, delivering highlight, interview, and internal films plus more than 20 clips ready for social, sales, and the next campaign, all within weeks of the show. The result was a booth providers walked through rather than glanced at from the aisle. An expanded booth scope, new displays and new scale models, is already signed for RSNA 2026 in Chicago.
