THE CASHMERE SALE
Pop up, sell, hibernate, repeat
The Cashmere Sale is a seasonal women's fashion pop-up offering high-quality cashmere products. The model is simple and disciplined: each fall, stores pop up in affluent markets nationwide, sell for a matter of weeks, then hibernate until the next season. Ruckus was engaged to support the seasonal, high-yield retailer with yearly digital marketing campaigns and compelling digital creative.
One season's assignment became a partnership of nearly a decade, with Ruckus planning, managing, and executing the research, identity, and campaigns behind every seasonal sale, market after market, pop-up after pop-up, year after year, without missing a single season along the way.

Finding her in every market
Before the creative came the customer. Ruckus built real audience personas, from a lifestyle blogger in Santa Barbara to a financial analyst in Greenwich, and mapped them against the brand's nationwide pop-up footprint so every campaign spoke to the right woman in the right city. Personas, brainstorms, and market mapping located the cashmere customer in every pop-up city before a single ad ran.

Signage that has to work from day one
Every market gets its own moment. Store-level signage pairs the brand's signature pink identity with clear, practical sale details: where, when, and for how long. Because each pop-up exists for only a matter of weeks, the identity works hard from day one, turning passersby into shoppers before the sale hibernates again.
A campaign for every season
We're Back. Sweater Weather. The Holiday Hot List. Each year, Ruckus reintroduces the sale with a fresh wave of email and social creative that announces the pop-ups, rides the season, and drives gifting through the holidays. The seasonality demands high-density, high-volume campaigns with immediate results, planned, managed, and executed on the sale's unforgiving calendar.
Paid social speaks to each market by name, weather and all. Prepare for Pacific winds by shopping comfy cashmere at The Cashmere Sale Santa Barbara. Geo-targeted creative localizes the sale city by city, driving sign-ups, store visits, and urgency where the doors are actually open.
The most successful season in the company's history
A pop-up sale does not get a whole year to earn attention. Each season opens and closes within weeks, so every campaign has to build an audience fast and convert it even faster. In a single season of Ruckus-run digital, the brand reached 750,000 consumers over just 10 days of campaign activity and drove 1.1 million Facebook impressions, with Instagram followers up 79% and page likes up 41% over the project quarter.
Total e-commerce sales hit $2.5 million on a $240 average order value, with a 34% increase in Shopify orders and a 30% increase in returning customer rate. The record season marked the most successful sale in the company's history and paved the way for its first-ever Spring offering. In the most recent season, Ruckus-run email alone drove $465,000 in attributed revenue, 42% of the brand's total online sales.
