ARRANGEMENTS ABROAD
A New York house for museum travel
From its New York headquarters, Arrangements Abroad designs custom cultural trips for many of the world's leading museums, universities, and alumni associations. Together with its museum-focused sister brand, the Museum Travel Alliance, it offers expert-led itineraries, exclusive access, and deep cultural engagement for affluent, intellectually curious travelers. In 2024, Ruckus was engaged as strategic and digital partner: to clarify the architecture of two intertwined brands, build the marketing engine behind them, and rebuild the digital flagship to match the caliber of the trips themselves.

Two brands, one blurred story
Arrangements Abroad and the Museum Travel Alliance had each earned deep loyalty, but clients struggled to see where one brand ended and the other began. A well-curated site and strong email program carried the load alone. Social was underused, and search visibility sat as untapped potential. The closure of the Met's travel program set thousands of culturally devoted travelers in motion, while competitors invested aggressively in digital.

One house, two brands
Ruckus ran brand, media, and UX workshops, customer interviews from both audiences, stakeholder interviews across AA and MTA, and a competitive analysis spanning Tauck, Abercrombie & Kent, and Smithsonian Travel. The answer was a Branded House: Arrangements Abroad becomes the master brand, and the Museum Travel Alliance moves step by step from co-branding to sub-brand to one cohesive identity, reducing confusion while preserving MTA's museum-world equity as a leader in museum travel since 1977. A full-funnel engine now moves travelers from first inspiration to booked trip across Google, YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, and email.
Built on live trip data
Ruckus presented three brand directions, Modern Heritage, Timeless Elegance, and Sophisticated Exploration, and built the winner into a new WordPress platform synced in real time to the booking system, so every trip, price, and seat stays current on its own.
Trips, pricing, availability, and regions flow directly from the booking engine, similar-trip logic always surfaces itineraries with seats to sell, and pricing publishes by rule, switching to a request-info flow when a trip is pulled from sale. The Museum Travel Alliance now lives within the Arrangements Abroad directory, fed by an API-driven member directory of partner museums.
A unified brand, live and in market
The new site is live at arrangementsabroad.com, rebuilt end to end and synced to the booking system behind every trip. MTA now sits inside the Arrangements Abroad home, and the media playbook guides campaigns across Google, YouTube, Meta, and LinkedIn. From 2024 strategy through the 2025 launch, the partnership continues into a shared Q4 and 2026 growth plan.
