TILEPIX
A blank wall, waiting for a brand
TilePix makes patented magnetic photo tiles that hang with no picks, nails, or tools: swap, rearrange, and reframe photos without leaving holes in the wall. Every white wall is a blank canvas, and TilePix set out to hand that canvas to everyone. Ruckus built the brand that made a blank wall feel like an invitation, starting from scratch in 2022 with the strategy, the name of the idea, and the identity.

A crowded category, a boring habit
Wall decor is old, established, and everywhere. A magnetic, no-nails product needed a brand distinct enough to make people rethink a habit they never questioned. The tiles also had to feel less like a purchase and more like self-expression, which meant an identity and a content engine built for sharing as much as selling, meeting people at the moment their ideas meet an empty wall.
Make It Your Self
Ruckus wrote the strategy and named the idea: Make It Your Self, a deliberate play on Do-It-Yourself for makers who want a space that reflects exactly who they are, built on the belief that with the right tools and a little guidance, everyone is creative.
The identity followed the same logic. The palette borrows from RGB, the primaries of every screen where creativity begins, grounded in black and white and set in Manrope, with the grid as the core graphic element, structural yet playful, echoing the modular product. The studio then built the brand's visual world: interior photography that looks designed yet lived-in, composited roomscapes, and a library of social-first film, with vibe systems like Cali Mellow and Acid Pop letting one product speak to many rooms and many people.
Turning a product into a canvas for creators
The idea that made TilePix cultural: give artists and creators their own collections, then build the campaigns around them. In 2022, founding artists Jordana Schrager, Mira Mariah, and Sophia Wilson launched the platform, each with a debut collection and her own film, shot in her own space so the campaign photography and the films share one world. In 2023 the class expanded with Creative Jawns, Eli Rallo, and Dani Klaric, each with a signature collection and a Gen Z audience.
In July 2024, the program landed a marquee name: designer Jonathan Adler, translating his signature lips, leopards, and geometric swirls onto no-nails photo tiles. From a single production, Ruckus concepted, storyboarded, directed, and cut a thirteen-film campaign suite, every spot delivered in 16:9 and vertical 9:16 for social, and the partnership kept growing with the Jet Set collection in January 2025.
From a blank wall to a name people know
Three years in, TilePix has grown from a direct-to-consumer launch into a brand carried in more than 8,000 Walgreens locations nationwide for same-day pickup. Ruckus named the idea and designed the identity that launched the brand, turned the product into a canvas for creators, and helped carry it from launch to national retail, with an artist program that keeps growing year over year.
“I've never seen anything as cool as TilePix. Their unique hanging system takes the guesswork out of a gallery wall.”Jonathan Adler, Designer
