01The Client

Built to scale

Founded in Boston in 1995, Officeworks is a commercial-interiors dealer that designs, furnishes, and services workplaces across eight markets, from Massachusetts to Tennessee. A longtime Teknion partner and Orion Award winner, it grew fast and ran lean. From January 2024 through January 2026, Ruckus was its embedded brand, marketing, and web team, a full outsourced marketing department operating on a weekly cadence.

02The Assignment

Eight markets, one team

Officeworks arrived with a website changing vendors, new Southern showrooms to open, and a business that needed marketing shipped every single week. There was no single big unveiling to build toward. The brief was harder than that: become the marketing department and keep every market supplied without missing a beat. That meant inheriting officeworksinc.com from the outgoing vendor and running it, development, content, and care, shipping finished work weekly across print, digital, social, and events, and owning the moments, a new Nashville showroom, a new Raleigh market, and a 30th anniversary.

03The Cadence

Not a campaign shop on call

Sub-30-minute working sessions ran every week for two years, each one closed out with a written recap. Every deliverable started as a written brief, with a single point of contact. Monthly reports covered optimization, security, and plugins on officeworksinc.com every month it was in Ruckus's care, and every hour was tracked and reported against scope, so the client always knew exactly where the retainer went. Not a campaign shop on call. A department that happened to sit somewhere else.

04The Work

The brand story, the site, and the moments

Ruckus ran value-proposition interviews with Officeworks leadership, in person in New York and virtually across markets, every session recorded and transcribed, to surface what actually set the company apart: its people, its scale, and a service ethic that treats day two as seriously as the install. The result was a written brand story behind the longstanding promise of Stunning Spaces. Superior Service., followed by a 30th-anniversary mark and activation playbook for the company's 2025 milestone year.

The showpiece on the web was the gallery program, more than 25 photo-led project galleries designed, built, and shipped, putting finished interiors for banks, biotechs, universities, and construction firms front and center at full scale. Launch moments got the same treatment: a teaser campaign for the 2024 Nashville showroom that ran while the space was still under construction, and a location mark with launch-day content for the Raleigh market entry.

An education and print program ran alongside: the Routed in Education presentation series, a SCUP session on neuro-inclusive learning environments, a workplace-excellence research paper, a ten-piece library of CEU event and instruction sheets for sessions with architecture and design firms, IIDA New England print ads, and RFP and pitch decks refreshed as editable templates. Different formats every week, one recognizable brand.

05The Results

A marketing department, delivered

The engagement concluded in January 2026 with a complete, organized handoff, every design file, report, and account back in the client's hands. Over two years, Ruckus supplied eight markets with on-brand work, shipped more than 25 project galleries to officeworksinc.com, and built the ten-piece CEU and instruction sheet library powering the education push. For two years, Ruckus was the marketing engine behind a business built to scale.
