LAMBDA
The GPU cloud built for the AI era
Lambda is the GPU cloud built for the AI era. Founded by ML engineers for ML engineers, the company supplies the training and inference compute behind many of the world's most ambitious AI teams, from on-demand NVIDIA GPU clusters to gigawatt-scale AI factories, on a mission to make it easy to harness massive computational power.
Ruckus first put Lambda on camera as a marquee voice in VAST Data's customer film series, then partnered with Lambda directly to script, produce, and deliver a fully animated product reveal film, working frame by frame inside Lambda's brand system.
A product no camera can shoot
Lambda sells the most consequential product of the decade. You just can't point a camera at it. Cloud GPU clusters live in data centers and terminal windows; the product's power is real, its picture is not, so the story had to be built, not shot. ML engineers and researchers smell fluff instantly, and Lambda's voice is straightforward and opinionated, so the film had to earn that trust. And the AI market moves in weeks, not quarters: the reveal had to go from kickoff to a mastered 4K deliverable inside a single product cycle.
From script to screen in one pipeline
In 2024, Lambda tapped Ruckus to introduce its newest cloud product with a 60-second, fully animated reveal film mastered in 4K. Ruckus led discovery with Lambda's team in March 2024 and drove the script through working sessions with stakeholders across the company, locking the story before a single frame was designed. Weekly Friday reviews kept Lambda's voice in the room at every step.
Ruckus ran the entire pipeline: voiceover casting and direction, licensed music, original sound design, and animation direction with 3D animation studio Cart and Horse, from moodboards and style frames through animatic, final render, and mix. Every beat was locked on paper before a single polygon moved, with text-based boards and style frames grounded in stills from Lambda's own data-center floor, proofed as a full animatic ahead of 3D production. The renderfarm-finished animation shipped as a 3840x2160 master in July 2024, ready for launch moments, sales, and social alike.
Two AI powerhouses, one story
Before Lambda was a Ruckus client, it was a Ruckus subject. As part of the customer film series Ruckus produced for VAST Data, Lambda starred alongside Pixar, Zoom, NVIDIA, the Allen Institute, and CoreWeave, telling the story of AI infrastructure through the people building it. Ruckus led pre-interviews, built the cinematic package, and ran a full production day at Lambda's offices, crew, set, and story under one call sheet.
The polished testimonial film, with licensed music and a full color grade, was cut to let Lambda's engineers speak for themselves. It shipped approved into VAST's 2023 launch content library, and the relationship it built brought Lambda to Ruckus directly the following year.
Invisible infrastructure, made unmissable
Lambda's identity is precise: a purple-to-magenta signature, Camphor typography, and a strict logo system. Ruckus absorbed the full brand guidelines and carried them into motion, keeping every frame of film unmistakably Lambda, and along the way organized production-ready logo suites, stacked lockups, and brandmarks sized for every application, so the system travels as cleanly as it was designed.
